Hi I'm Nancy

I'm from Washington DC. I am a married MBA Student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Washington DC but have temporarily left home to pursue a lifelong dream of getting my MBA. I got my undergrad in finance and then worked in the wealth management field for a few years. I am now back to school and am invigorated daily by the intelligence and creativity that surrounds me. I am lucky enough to be married to a wonderful man who was willing to move across the country so I could pursue this dream and we just found out that we are expecting a baby! Should make for an exciting 2nd year, eh?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my faith is what gives me the courage to try new things. Because I know that there is a God who knows me personally and actually cares what I do while I am on this earth, I am motivated by the calm assurance that this brings. I'm not afraid to try to improve myself scholastically, socially, or spiritually because I know that my self worth has already been decided. My Savior loves me for me and knowing this gives me the freedom to work on self improvement without fear of failure.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the little things. I am the permanent designated driver for all extended family events. I make it a point to spend one on one time or go on a date with my husband weekly. I play the piano each Sunday so that the children in our congregation can sing about Jesus. I strive to be the "go to" person for two women in our congregation that I am assigned to look after. Even though I can't cook, sew, or make handicrafts, I share my talents for financial planning with those who are interested. I sponsor a leprosy-affected child in India. Most importantly, I live my faith by getting on my knees twice a day to have personal conversations with my maker.
