Hi I'm Mindy.

I'm an editor and a writer. I'm a francophile. I love lip gloss and beach cruisers. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a recent college graduate, I am currently in the throes of trying to figure out "real life" (AKA post-college life). I got my degree in English language, so obviously I love English, grammar, editing, and sentence-diagramming. I also studied French in school and have a love for all things French! I am a would-be world traveler. I love to see the beauty in the world that God created for us and discover new cultures that are different from my own. I've been a teacher in Kenya, a missionary in the South Pacific, a student in Senegal, and an intern in France. All these experiences have helped me to see that we are all children of our Heavenly Father and beloved in His eyes. When I'm not hard at work editing and writing, I am probably riding around on my beach cruiser, watching movies with my siblings, or hanging out with my nieces and nephews. And maybe going on the occasional date.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth through a modern-day prophet and that God's church is led by Him through a living prophet. I know the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. It testifies of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer and explains the steps necessary to draw closer to Him and follow His example. I'm a Mormon because therein I learn about where I came from, who I am, why I'm here, and what I need to do to return home to my Father in Heaven. The gospel also teaches me that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the daily little things: prayer, scripture study, and trying to be more charitable toward others. I love attending the temple each week, where there is always peace. I also attend my church meetings every Sunday, where I feel a connection to other members of the Church, learn more about the Savior and His gospel, and partake of the sacrament.
