Hi I'm Juan Cruz

I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to NY very young. I'm a father and grandfather. I'm an accountant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day -Saints for the last 32 years. After searching for many years, I found a place where I can say this is the church that have provided me with the answers to so many questions that I have been asking for many years. It has changed my life for the better. Now, I can shape my life the way the Lord wanted me to. I learned to serve others in a way that I feel it has a real meaning.

Why I am a Mormon

The book of Mormon is for this dispensation, it taught me the purpose of life, where I came from, why I am here, and where I'm going to. Also, that families could be together for time and eternity and that Jesus Christ is the head of our church, He wants us to returned to His Heavenly Father; that His church was restored as from the beginning, with Prophets and Apostles; the restoration of the Priesthood and the power of revelation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others, by reading the scriptures I can get closer to my Heavenly Father through His son Jesus Christ. I go to church every Sunday to renew my sacraments. It's a great blessing to know that the Holy Spirit guide our lives.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Juan Cruz
Our body is a a precious gift from God and He wants us to help keep our bodies and our minds healthy and strong. God gave a law of health through Joseph Smith in 1833. This law is known as the Word of Wisdom. In addition to emphasizing the benefit of proper eating and physical and spiritual health, God has spoken against the use of tobacco, alcohol, coffee and tea and illegal drugs, He promises physical and spiritual blessings to those who follow the Word of Wisdom. What is the priesthood?

Juan Cruz
The priesthood is the authority to act in God's name. The same priesthood authority that existed in the original Church established by Jesus Christ exists in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today. All worthy members of the church that are prepared to receive the priesthood in order to lead the church and serve our Heavenly Father's children. A man with the priesthood might serve in some of the following ways, leading congregations of the Church, performing baptism and blessing those who are sick. Show more Show less
