Hi I'm Matt.

I'm a TV and radio personality. I'm a singer. I'm a storyteller. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Matt. In my short career I have covered local, national, and international news. I've worked in TV and radio as on-air talent. I'm an actor who loves to be on stage under the heat of the lights. Music is my passion, and is one of the best ways I've found to bring myself closer to God. My mother is a pianist and is one of the strongest examples I have in my life. I like procedural dramas on TV and mexican food. I am always looking for the next way I can make someone smile. I love storytelling. Whether it be through video, music, writing, or physically showing you, conversing with others has always fascinated me. The world's culture has been built around sharing stories and passing on our experiences to others. If there is any way I can help the world be better at that, I want to do it! I attended the University of Georgia and had the time of my life while in college. I graduated from the church's Institute of Religion, gaining a four year degree in a year and a half, and completing another year of advanced study within 4 months. I love reading the scriptures... even when I fall asleep on them. I look forward to the challenge of each day, and I feel that being unhappy is a waste of time. Life is too short to live in a negative state of mind, why go through all the trouble of being angry when it's so much easier to be happy? I know my Father in Heaven has given so many blessings there isn't room to receive them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my entire life, but wasn't truly converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ until I found it on my own. I get hung up on things that "make sense," and the Gospel is one of those things that just "makes sense." After realizing the truth of my Savior's message, I can't even fathom not being a believer. I once believed for others, but now I believe for myself.

How I live my faith

I live my life with the Lord's opinion of me always at the forefront of my mind. While I know I am free to make whatever decision, I want the Lord to be pleased with me and the decisions I've made at the end of the day. I also know that I am happiest when my desires are in line with those of my Heavenly Father. My goal is to be seen as someone who tries to edify himself and others by the way I live. As a broadcast media professional, it is easy to be swayed either way with events that happen around the world. In a place where moral lines and social norms are constantly being erased, rewritten, and moved, I feel safe on the solid ground of the gospel. While it is not my job to declare my beliefs, I live my life in a way that strives to reflect the light of Christ.
