Hi I'm Beth

I teach biology and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Teaching about life and its many forms is easy with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a foundation. I have found that what the Lord has given us makes it easier to see his plan in everything around us. I like sharing that with my 5 children as we spend time together camping and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother is a Mormon and my dad is a convert to our faith but my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ came in my youth as I wanted to know more about what my parents and the church taught. As a teenager, I felt the promptings of the Holy Ghost lead me to read the Book of Mormon for the first time. It was as if everything in the Bible was now clear. As I read the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price, my testimony of the gospel and the Prophet Joseph Smith grew. More importantly, I knew that I was a daughter of my Heavenly Father. That there is a plan for us to return to Him. That my Elder Brother and Savior Jesus Christ makes the way possible for me and all of us to return to our Father's presence. These scriptures are letters from home letting us know what our Father wants us to do so we can return to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking one day at a time. I like to wake up and pray and ask the Lord what is it that I need to do today for Him, my family, friends, and others. I enjoy serving in the church with others and growing continously in the knowledge of my Savior, My Heavenly Father, and what I need to do to return to them.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Beth
I have found many people to think we are not a religion. We are but just not the way others see a religion. In accepting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and following His teachings we change our lives to follow Him. That takes us out of the mainstream of the world and its influences. That sets us apart from many but gives the greatest amount of peace, happiness and joy in our lives. It is not easy, but it is worth it. Show more Show less
