Hi I'm Spencer

I love soccer. I'm a graduate student. I have a beautiful wife and little girl. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and learned to love the snowy winters and great outdoors. I snowmobile, snowboard, love to play soccer (indoor and outdoor), fish, and spend time with my family. I'm also working through graduate school and spend most of my time studying:)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the LDS church and grew up attending church meetings and activities with my family. One thing that Mormons are well known for is sending out missionaries and when I came close to that age (19) I decided that if I wanted to be a missionary I better know for sure that what I learned in church was true. As I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible with a true desire to learn, I felt closer to Jesus Christ than I ever had before. I could feel a real change in my soul and through prayer to our Heavenly Father I learned that the teachings of the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ are true. I'm so thankful for that knowledge and I know that you will have a similar experience if you investigate the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and ask God if the things you learn are true. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me through life's trials. We all have problems, and the teachings of Christ are the only path that we can follow that will lead us to true happiness, no matter what our problems are. Knowing that God has a bigger plan for us and that he loves us, helps me to put into perspective what I do each day and how I treat others. I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ and his life, teachings, and great sacrifice for us. I know that only through him can we truly change who we are and become better people. I've at least tasted some of that in my life and I know that anyone can have the same experiences I've had. Good luck to you in your search for truth and happiness.

How I live my faith

Although I often make mistakes and sometimes struggle to complete my personal goals here are some things I try to do each week to live my faith and show my love to Heavenly Father: I attend church with my family, read the Book of Mormon or Bible, pray with my family and alone, give service to others, and share the things I've learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ with friends and family.
