Hi I'm Daniella.

I'm a student, a sister, a future missionary, and a Latter Day Saint.

About Me

I grew up in Georgia and am now in Utah attending school. I'm a journalism major with minors in Spanish and Latin American studies. I love writing, people-watching, and talking with others. From own struggles, I have learned to always have hope, no matter how dark a situation looks. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how far gone you feel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love Heavenly Father. I know that this is His church because it is centered on Jesus Christ's gospel. As I have prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, I have felt God's Spirit speak to me in my heart. I have felt in my heart a confirmation of the teachings I hear in church meetings, in the Bible and Book of Mormon, and in the words of our prophets. When I live the teachings of the church, I feel happy, peaceful, and hopeful. When I choose to do things that I know are not pleasing to God, I sometimes wonder why I am here and what the point is. I feel depressed, lost, and angry during these moments. When I contrast this to the feelings of peace, hope, and confidence that come when I believe in God and His commandments as taught by the church's doctrine, I conclude every time that this church is based on the gospel of Jesus Christ and will bring me peace and happiness now and after death as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the scriptures, praying daily, and being kind to people around me. I make my family one of my top priorities, spending time with my sisters that I live with and calling my brother and parents that are far away. I try to use my time and resources in a way that's beneficial to me and those around me. I seek to be aware of the world and other people so that I can be an instrument in God's hands to help them.

In whom should we have faith?

Daniella.
We should have faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe that "all things which are good cometh of Christ" (Moroni 7:24). We can learn of goodness and become better by placing our trust in the words, prophets, and life of Jesus Christ. I believe that this is the purpose of faith--to bring us closer to our Savior, to make us better people, and to help us have hope and be happy. Show more Show less
