Hi I'm Samara

I am Canadian/American. I have a full and happy life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a canadian who moved to the United States 15 years ago. I met my husband in Texas and we now have 4 wonderful children. My hobbies are springboard diving, crafting boutique items, and writing short stories. I work part time as an Executive Administrator for a non-profit organization, and I homeschool 3 of my children. My days are filled with excitement and satisfaction.

Why I am a Mormon

I find comfort in knowing that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that my family can be together forever, even after this life. Everyday I know that as I do my best, my savior will help all of the pieces fall into place. I can raise my children to know that Jesus loves them and wants to bless them. I find peace through communicating with my Heavenly Father through prayer. I am greatful for these understandings because they make for a happier journey through life.

How I live my faith

I have come to love and serve the sisters of my ward. I find time to visit them in their homes on occassion and check on any needs they may have. I enjoy teaching the children of the church (and elsewhere), and seeing their eyes light up when the learn something new. Right now I am trying to be more concious of those around me. I try to be a good friend, and try to be a good example as well. My goal is to share the truths that I know with others as I serve them.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We were sent to this earth to have the opportunity to show our Heavenly Father that we will strive to make good choices, and recognize the blessings that he has given us. We are trying to be worthy to go back and live with our Heavenly Father again, and help all those around us to have the opportunity to do the same. He has promised that as we are righteous, we can be with him again. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

You can find church locations and times on mormon.org/worship/ or maps.lds.org, find a mormon friend, or missionary. I am sure they will all be willing to guide you in the right direction. When you have decided to be baptized, you will set a date. We know that Christ would have us be baptized by immersion as he was. When you enter the water, your sins are washed away through this gift that God has given us. We are then accountable for our new knowledge of good and bad. We are given the gift of the Holy Ghost so that as we are righteous, we can be guided in our decisions and actions. Show more Show less
