Hi I'm Allison

I like France & Nutella. I can't sing. I'm happiest when helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom for my son and daughter. I love French and try to speak it once in awhile. I'm taking independent study college courses, trying to finish my college degree. I enjoy reading and found a new interest in behavioral economics. I like to cook and try new foods. I'm not a vegetarian, but rarely eat meat. I like to learn a little about a lot of things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and I have always felt comfortable in the Mormon faith. I feel that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints helped me through the confusing and challenging teenage years and continue to do so. I am Mormon today because I find comfort, hope and security through my faith. I am Mormon because I feel this is where God wants me to be; that if I follow the teachings of the Church, I will have joy and will be the best me. I feel that the teachings of the Church have brought me closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and I believe if I continue in this path, it will become even greater.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day by remembering each day is a gift from God. I pray to God each day, and thank Him for His Son Jesus Christ. I read scriptures each day, hoping to better know God's will for me. I also attend church services each Sunday. Each day I try to make a point to know what God wants me to do with that day, and ask Him whom I can serve. When I fail I pray for forgiveness through the Atonement of Jesus. I also help serve the women at Church by planning and organizing activities for them in hopes of strengthening other women, helping them feel purpose and love. Some activities are rather social in nature, some are community service projects, some are to strengthen our relationship with Jesus and God the Father....

Are Mormons Christians?

Allison
I think it depends how you define Christian. If you define being Christian as believing in Jesus and that He is the Savior of the world, then yes, we are Christians. Show more Show less
