Hi I'm Tammy

I was born and raised in California, I have 8 children and I'm Mormon!!!

About Me

I am the youngest of 6 siblings... My parents are both deceased, my dad passed away 3 years ago and my Mom 8 years ago. My mother passed away a week before my twin girls were born... I have 6 older sons so girls especially twin girls is quite an anomaly. I had all my children at home. It isn't for everyone but it really worked great for me. I am a stay home mom, always have been... which has been the greatest blessing in my life. I am a people watcher, when I was growing up I would pick out families that I thought were successful, I would ask them why they believed their children where good... I wanted to figure out why. I didn't know at the time I would have so many children and I tried to mirror raising my children like them. Some of the things I found to be true were to love them and teach them to love each other...easier said than done at time... but I know Love is more powerful than most of us recognize.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of those gals who need things to make sense. There was a time in my life that I needed to explore to see if the things that I was taught really made sense. I grew up in the gospel and was expected to attend but if I didn't want to go I didn't have too. During this teenage time of exploration.. huhuhu.. I didn't think such deep thoughts.. I fell into the " where is fun" mode and gave little thought for tomorrow until my senior year. My seminary lessons in those early hours started causing me to think and ask myself, what is the deal here, is this stuff for real and does God know me really? I had some significant friends in my life that I am confident were place there for me... I knew I needed a closer relationship with God. A scripture in the Bible says, "knock and it shall be open" is true. I knocked and the Lord in his great goodness answered that door. I read the Bible from cover to cover, the Book of Mormon cover to cover and the witness of the spirit allowed me to know that He is real and I matter to Him. The scriptures above mentioned confirm what my heart and head know to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being actively involved in life... I think the two key things are service and love. I love people, I love my community, I love my family and I desire more than anything their success. When you know who you are it gives strength beyond your own. I know I am a daughter of a God who serves us and loves.
