Hi I'm Bryan

I live in the Bible Belt and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was not born here in the North Florida, but I consider it my home. In 2007 I married my best friend and sweetheart. We've had struggles in our short married life with my wife receiving two kidney transplants. I recently graduated with my Bachelor's Degree here in North Florida. I am currently a Software Consultant at a job that I love. I love learning history, especially American History. I like drawing and enjoy photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that are stalwart Mormons. My family has been in the Church since the beginning, but I still had to know for myself that the Church is true. My testimony has grown incrementally since I was in my youth, but during my teen years and on my mission to California my testimony was strengthened. I have seen the hand of God in my life, guiding me to become the person I am today. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that we each can have a personal relationship with Him and He can change your life, as He has changed mine. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration and that he saw and talked to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that he translated The Book of Mormon and I have felt the power of that book in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best husband that I can be. I try to live a Christian life by following the example of our Savior.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Mormons believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has always existed on the earth. Beginning with our father Adam, God has called prophets to teach the people the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many of these prophets include, Noah, Abraham, and Moses. However, after each prophet the people would reject the teaching of the prophet and enter a period of unbelief called Apostasy. The next prophet called would restore the church as it was in the past. Eventually God sent Jesus Christ to restore the Gospel and to offer himself as a sacrifice on our behalf. After the death of the Savior, the Apostles continued to teach the people the gospel, but the people ultimately rejected their message and they entered a period of unbelief. For 1800 years the Gospel of Jesus Christ was distorted and changed from how Jesus set it up. The boy Joseph Smith was concerned about which church to join, he prayed and asked God. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and they told him that he would restore the church and gospel, just as the ancient prophets had done. In essence the Mormon Church was not started or founded by Joseph Smith but was restored. Show more Show less
