Hi I'm Brent Thorpe

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with my parents and one brother and one sister. I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and it has been a passion of mine my entire life. I enjoyed playing in bands during my teenage years. Several years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, but I try to continue to play guitar as it brings me joy. I served a mission for my church at the age of 19 and spent two wonderful years in Australia. My wife Tami and I are the proud parents of five daughters. All are married and have kids of their own (current count = 14), which makes us the luckiest parents/grand parents on the planet. We "hail" from Atlanta for the past 20+ years, but are Utah natives.

Why I am a Mormon

I do have a testimony that I belong to the gospel of Jesus Christ and that he is my Savior and Redeemer. I have over 4 generations of family that have also had this testimony. Their example has helped strengthen me and my desire to live the principles of the gospel. Study, prayer and service have brought me to a knowledge that Jesus Christ lives and stands at the head of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am honored to have served as a lay leader in the church all my adult life. There is no question how I live my faith. My life IS my faith.
