Hi I'm Peter

I asked God for truth. HE sent HIS Missionaries and HIS Message. Now, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Peter and I am a Mormon. I am husband to a wonderful wife, father to four amazing children, and a child of God. My family is my life. I spend my days finding joy for the little things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I spent the first twenty five years of my life trying to fill the hole in my soul through worldly pursuits. It didn't work. I reached a point in my life that I needed answers. By my reasoning, I could find any answer I wanted; if I asked the right person. After some deep contemplation, I concluded to ask the only One who could answer any question. I prayed for answers to the purpose of life. Within 24 hours there was a knock on my door. When I answered, I saw two young men who introduced themselves as representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ who wanted to share a message with me. My conversion to truth began when one of the missionaries testified to me of the sacrifice of the Savior in the Garden of Gethsemane. I had read of His prayer in the Garden, but the concept of an actual atonement in the Garden, in which he took upon Himself the pain and sufferings of every soul in the human family, was foreign to me. When they left, I decided to pray for myself. I cannot explain the depth of my experience. I can say that I was made aware of the pain I had caused others in my life, as well as the pain I caused the Savior in the Garden. My heart changed when, in exchange for the pain I had caused, I received only love. I have dedicated the rest of my life to sharing that love with others, beginning with my family.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as the Ward Mission Leader. I have the opportunity to teach others the things that were shared with me and it brings me great joy to do so. I have also served as Seminary teacher, Elder's-Quorum President, Sunday-School Teacher, Executive Secretary, and Scout Leader.
