Hi I'm Gareth

I was born in England and joined the church with my family at the age of 13.

About Me

I am a Father of 3 boys who have all served missions. I have been married for over 25 years. I stated in my CV that I received a poor education and was unable to read until the age of 25. I am sure that without the Gospel of Jesus Christ I would still be unable to read. I would not be running my own business aswell as serving as the Bishop of my local congregation.

Why I am a Mormon

Having joined the church at 13 I was grateful for the other young men and young women that were members of my ward. They encouraged me to remain active in the early days and later when I started to work with church members. They continued to encourage me to live the standards of the church. Because of this I met my wife at a church dance. I bear testimony that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. That Jesus is the son of God and that our Father in Heaven loves each of us.

How I live my faith

As Bishop the one thing I miss is being a Home teacher. Prior to being called as Bishop I was blessed to serve as a Home teacher with all 3 of my sons and visit with some wonderful families. I am also grateful for all of the callings that I have had that have helped me to develop my testimony and grow closer to my Saviour through service.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Gareth
As we read the scriptures we can learn of the love that our Heavenly Father has for each of His children, His desire for us to return to him and to be happy while we are on this Earth. We can learn where we came from, why we are here and where we are going. Show more Show less
