Hi I'm David

I grew up in Florida and live in Georgia. I served in the USMC. I am a father of 8. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the proud father of 8 wonderful kids, 5 boys and 3 girls, ranging from1 year to 16 years old. I have been married to my best friend for the past 18 years. I was born in Cincinnati and even though I have lived in many places I consider Jacksonville Florida where I grew up home. I have lived north of Atlanta for the past 20 years. I served a mission to Alaska and then did 4 year tour of duty in the USMC mostly in Okinawa, Japan. I love sports and still try to get out and play basketball a couple of times a week. But between work, family and church service I have little time for anything else.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon since birth. However, why I am currently an active Mormon now is because I have seen and experienced both the pain and confusion that comes from not following Christ's teachings and the peace and joy that comes from living his Gospel. I am Mormon because it is within the Mormon faith that I have access to modern day scripture and revelation. The truths revealed in the Book of Mormon and from modern day prophets have been confirmed to me through a personal witness of the Holy Ghost. These truths help me more fully understand the nature God, the atonement of Christ and the Plan of Happiness. I am Mormon because I believe it is within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that the authority to perform priesthood ordinances exist. I am Mormon because I have seen how the Gospel changes lives. Nothing, in my experience, has the power to change a person’s nature like accepting Christ’s atonement and living the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I am doing my best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the knowledge and testimony I currently have. I live my Faith by obedience to God’s commandments, by repenting for my sins, by seeking and following personal revelation, by accepting opportunities to serve and by sustaining those called to server. I find that living my Faith this way increases my capacity to Love God, my neighbor and myself.
