Hi I'm Bruce

I like to hunt, fish, read good books and go to the movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for nearly three decades and am the father of four lovely daughters. I also have one grandson. I grew up in the South, but have lived in many different parts of the country and spent several years overseas. My dog is a Great Pyrenees-border collie mix.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church! It helps me find happiness, keep my priorities straight, and live a more meaningful life. I have found a lovely wife through this faith and been enabled to raise up a great family based on gospel teachings.

How I live my faith

I try to create a positive and uplifting environment around me. I've chosen not to use vulgar language. I instead focus on listening, understanding, and encouraging. At church, I am responsible for sharing the message. I help find people for the missionaries to teach. We often have lessons in my home to help others learn about the gospel and to help them grow in faith.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes, we believe the Holy Bible is part of the sacred canon. The difference is that we believe the canon isn't closed. We believe God continues to speak and guide us through his prophets. The Book of Mormon is also sacred scripture and a complimentary companion to the Bible. I read them both and find each to help in the study of the other.  Show more Show less
