Hi I'm Leonard

Becoming a Mormon has brought true happiness into my life and the lives of my family.

About Me

I'm a child of Heavenly Father, a husband, father, grandfather. I'm active in church, and have worked in the information technology industry for almost 30 years.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints happened when I was 42. My wife was a member of the church and I would occasionally attend with her. Over time, as I became more exposed to the Book of Mormon and listened to church leaders and our Prophets talk about Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation a moment arrived when I could no longer deny that Jesus Christ stands at the head of our church. As members of the church spoke in church meetings and visited our home, I came to realize that they were truly happy. I discovered that the true, deep in the soul happiness these people exhibited could only be obtained by fully immersing myself in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Becoming a Mormon required me to change my lifestyle. As my testimony of the Jesus Christ and the Church grew, my life has been blessed in ways I never could have imagined. My cup of happiness overflows.

How I live my faith

When my wife and I were dating I casually mentioned to her that if I ever joined another church it would be one that required commitment from its members. She smiled a knowing smile. What she knew is that one cannot be a casual member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Even before my baptism my behavior changed. I learned how to serve others, that selflessness is better than selfishness, that patience and kindness works better than being hard nosed, that striving to live as Heavenly Father asks brings real happiness into my life and the lives of others, and finally, putting my faith Jesus Christ and trying to be more like Him brings peace into my life Over the years I have served as a Sunday School teacher to our youth, various church leadership positions on a local level, an early morning school day seminary teacher to high school students, and currently serve as a secretary to the leadership that oversees eleven congregations. I usually spend 10 or 12 hours a week on church responsibilities.
