Hi I'm Jessica

I love all things beautiful and creative. I'm passionate about life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a strong, determined, fun-loving young woman. I love life. I am a world traveler and I am addicted to going to new places where I've never been before. I love to learn new things, try new foods, and experience new cultures. I can't wait to have a family someday but for now I'm enjoying the life of a young single adult in this vast world and all of its opportunities. I graduated from college in History and Art. I'm not sure what I'm going to be "when I grow up" but I know its going to be something amazing. I have a huge love for helping people, especially those less fortunate. I love being around children and their beautiful spirits. Their smiles are infectious. I've been told that I have an old soul. I love old jazz music and sometimes I feel like I belong back in the 1930's. I could sit all day and listen to elderly people talk about "the good ol' days". I love to laugh with my friends, spend time with my family, and even take some quality time out by myself creating something or exploring the world through the lens of my camera. I'm a book nerd. I love candy. Airports are one of my favorite places because it probably means I'm going somewhere or I'm on my way home from some place.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the true church of our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. I was born in a loving home where both of my parents were raised in the church. We attended church together as a family. My parents taught me about my Savior, about what happiness with an eternal family means and how living a righteous, full life will bring me ultimate happiness. As an adult, where I can now choose for myself how to live my life, I choose to be a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me more happiness than a life without it. I find joy in the compassionate service shown to my fellow man. I bask in the love of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Simply put, I'm a happy person. My life is blessed beyond measure. I know that the life I'm living is pleasing to the Lord. I'm not perfect by any means but I'm using the Savior's exemplary life to model my own life. It feels good and right to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing simple things that keep my testimony of the gospel strong. I pray. I read the holy scriptures. I attend my church meetings. I keep the commandments. My calling is to be a leader of the women in my community. I am in a single adult ward and with this comes many challenges. It's easy for young adults, who no longer live with their parents, to fall away from the church, to forget who they are and what path they're on. My main goal is to love these women, teach them about the Savior and set an example. Everyone needs to feel loved, needed and befriended. I try to be a friend to everyone, a shoulder to cry on to those who are full of sorrow, to lift those who are burdened and rejoice with those who have cause to celebrate. I love those around me, show compassion and service to those in need.
