Hi I'm Jena

I grew up in Utah. I nannied on the East Coast. I'm a filmmaker. I'm a newlywed. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a simple girl with a big laugh and a love for life. I love my family and friends. I am a newlywed and feel extremely blessed to have such a fun, wonderful, kind, and supa cool man who loves me back. Relationships are what matter most, and I do my best to maintain as many as I can. I love singing, dancing, reading, performing, laughing, playing Scrabble, watching BYU sports, making films, learning, and anything Jane Austen related. I believe in love. Not just your ordinary love, but a love that can seal families together for eternity. I am a Film Major and want to have my own wedding video business as well as teach high school kids all about film. Sounds fun huh? I know!

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Church has been such an instrumental part of my life. While I grew up, my testimony of Jesus Christ grew as well. I have had such sweet experiences where the Holy Ghost has whispered to my heart that this church is true, and that Joseph Smith restored it to the Earth in preparation for the great and wonderful Second Coming of Christ. This Gospel is one of happiness and hope. It has the power to lift any burden or trial as long as you are worthy and have faith that the Lord will help you. I know that families can be together forever which is such AMAZING news! There are so many people in the world who think that this life is all there is, and that they won't be with their loved ones after death. What a wonderful blessing it is to know that the Lord has a great plan for us. A plan in which we will get to be with our families forever! The Gospel makes me so happy. I love my Savior so much and I know that He and my Father in Heaven love me dearly, and that they know my every worry, need, wish, and plea. I'm so grateful for this knowledge and for all of my many blessings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my 'calling' or job that is appointed to me in the Church. This job is done without pay, and everyone in the church has their own job which changes every year or so. My husband and I are group leaders for our Sunday School class. Our class consists of about 6 couples that live in our area. We organize small get-to-gethers where we make meals, play games, go tubing, carve pumpkins, etc. It is a great way to socialize and make sure that everyone is doing well. We love our calling/job, and feel so much joy when we are able to accomplish it to the best of our abilities.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jena
Yes! When a husband and wife are sealed to each other in one of the beautiful LDS temples, they will be together with their children for eternity, not just for their life on Earth. Show more Show less
