Hi I'm Michael

I live in British Columbia. I am a dentist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing with my young daughter and spending quality time with my wife. We often go on walks to the park near our local airport and watch the planes take off. While there, watching my daughter on the slide or swings I cannot help but think of how blessed I am. When I look at the blessings, God has given me, it makes me want to be better father, husband, son, coworker and member of the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I was challenged by a religion professor to read the Book of Mormon in two weeks and to read before any other homework or studying and to see what happened. I did it, the book was first thing out of my backpack and last in each day. I gained a knowledge that the book was of God as it brought me closer to him than I had previously been to that point. Additionally, that very same semester, I received the highest grades of my collegiate career. Try it - the Book of Mormon will bless your life.

How I live my faith

Everyone has a tooth story. While at work I hear a lot of these and it gives me the opportunity to help people do something that they cannot do for themselves. It is a metaphor for the atonement of Jesus Christ. When we put our stories, sins, burdens, dilemmas and heartache on Him, he does something for us that we are powerless to do. He forgives and supports us. He carries our burden and fixes that which is broken. He makes us whole.
