Hi I'm Shauna Meinhardt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 4 awesome children. I am a stay at home mom but I run a small vinyl lettering business out of my home, which I love because it allows me to be creative. Most of my time revolves around taking care of my family & home. I do what all moms do, cook, clean, drive here and there, homework, garden, exercise, etc. When I have extra time I love to read, shop, crochet, there's always a list of wanna do's. Most of all I love to spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church so have always been a member. I feel like I have always believed the gospel is true, but I remember the first time that I knew it was. My second son was just born and I had made a goal to read the Book of Mormon all the way through all by myself. We had read it many times as a family throughout my youth but I don't know that I ever really put any thought or effort into it, so I was determined to find out for myself if this is what I wanted to believe. It was early in the morning and I was alone in the room, I had just finished Moroni & I asked Heavenly Father if what I had read in the Book of Mormon was true. I was blessed with a feeling of such intense happiness & joy it is hard to describe. That was the beginning for me. I have spent years studying the other scriptures, the Bible, Doctrine & Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price and have had that reaffirming joy many times. I choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that it is Christ's church restored in these latter days by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I know that our prophet today receives revelation for us. I know that being alive right now is part of the plan for us to return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know that I am a child of God and that He loves me and that my family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend church every Sunday. Each of us go to our own classes and we all have 'jobs' that contribute to the functioning of the ward we attend. My 'job' is with the youth. Twice a month, another woman in our ward and I, plan activities for the 9-11 year old girls in our ward (right now we have approx. 10 girls in our group). Some of the things we plan are crafty, some are learning skills, some are outdoor activities, things the girls would enjoy and help them learn & develop talents. I also visit other women in our ward with a friend once a month. We usually have a spiritual thought and visit about how things are going with their families and lives.
