Hi I'm McCall

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time college student that is just trying to figure out what the future has in store for me. I played water polo and swam in high school, and love it very much. I like to hang out with family and friends. I am just your average girl.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I love this church with my whole heart. I was born and raised a member and am so grateful for that blessing in my life. I would be so lost without the church in my life, and don't think I would be on the path I am today. It has brought so much happiness into my life, and joy that I just want everyone to have this wonderful feeling. That's why I think it is so awesome that out church has sent young men and women out to share this beautiful message with others. I am so grateful for The Book of Mormon that has been a guiding light in my life. The messages that are inside are amazing because they are so relevant to my life right now. I think it is so amazing that prophets of old were impressed to right down these messages that they had no idea at that time would effect those in modern days. You can open up to any story and relate it to your life. It is so amazing how organized God is that he sent revelation to those in the past because He knew how beneficial and prevalent it would be for us today. I know that we do have a Heavenly Father that knows and loves each and every one of us. He has given us this life so that we can progress, and one day return to live with Him again. He loves us so much that he sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins. I love my elder brother Jesus Christ that has made it possible for me to return to live with my Father in Heaven again. I am grateful for Joseph Smith you restored this gospel to this earth. He went through so much tribulation and persecution, but still had the amazing faith to do what he was commanded to do. I know that we have a modern day prophet that leads and guides us in this day and age. Heavenly Father loves us that much that He continues to send prophets to lead us today just like He did in biblical times. I am so grateful for this church, and the freedom it gives me. People might think that is crazy, but it honestly gives me freedom to be who I want to be. I am an average girl, and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was in Student Government at my high school, I played Water Polo all through High School as well as swimming. I had many positions at church. I have been the president over the girls my age. I have had the great opportunity to work with other kids my age from different cities, and come up with fun activities. I have had so much fun with all the assignments and positions I have been given at church. In college I was given the opportunity to visit and comfort those that were sick, having a bad day, needed a friend, and I now am a teacher for the women at church. It is so awesome, and each has blessed my life in different ways.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We don't support homosexuality, and it's not because we hate homosexual people. God has a definition of marriage, and that is between a man and a women. We as a church are just keeping what God has asked of us. God didn't change the rules, so we are sticking to them. It also isn't because we hate them and many people think we do. Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, has told us to love everyone, and so we do love everyone, we just don't need to support their actions. Show more Show less
