Hi I'm Tim

I'm an outdoor enthusiast, a musician and a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just got married about five months ago and I'm enjoying the married life. It is crazy how much fun I've had and how much you learn when you share everything with someone else. I am currently a student at Utah State University studying Watershed Science and hope to be a hydrologist one day. My passion is the outdoors- I love camping, hiking, fishing, running, playing ultimate frisbee and kicking a ball around. Some of my dreams are to have a big family, travel, and give some sort of international aid. I consider myself to be a simple person with an introverted personality, but I can really open up when you get to know me. I care about others and want the best for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have spent a lot of time with the people of the LDS faith, having grown up in the church. They all have weaknesses, but overall they are genuine and do their best. I have had a lot of solid examples of devotion to Christ in my life and those examples have been a strong foundation for my faith in Christ. I have also read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, which has been the strongest source of personal conviction in my life. I love serving other people and the church helps me do that. I have felt the most happiness in my life from living the Gospel and I want to share it with others.

How I live my faith

I shared the Gospel as a missionary in North Carolina and hope that I can serve anyone that needs my help. I try to make God an everyday part of my life by prayer, study and service.

What is faith?

Tim
Faith is believing that a positive result will come to you after you do something. It is believing in things we cannot see which are true. When we have faith, we believe that because we are doing something positive, God will bless us. It is sometimes hard to do things when we don't see that reward right in front of us, but when we have faith, we expect God to bless us when we keep his commandments. For example, we weren't there when Paul wrote his epistles or when Nephi from the Book of Mormon wrote on the plates, but we can have faith that they did and live by Christ's Gospel, which they taught. Having faith in Christ makes me happy and gives me hope that I can live again with God. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Tim
Family is important to us because we believe that God has given them to us for our benefit. They can help us get through trials that occur in life. They help us learn in a good environment. The home is just a great place that we can practice for the outside world. It is a lot easier to face stuff when you know that you have a group of people who will support you and be there when you need help. The family is just another blessing that God has given us to be happy and successful in life. Some of my best memories have been with my family. Whenever I try to make family an important part of my everyday life, I am happy because I get to be there for them too. Show more Show less
