Hi I'm Braxten

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am serving a full time mission, speaking spanish in Salt Lake City, Utah. Yes, there are people in Utah who are not Mormons! -I come from Los Angeles, California. -I have two brothers and two sisters (I am the oldest). -I am an english major, and plan on a career in writing. -I love Harry Potter. -I love movies (making and watching them). -Me and my brother are going to start a band when I get home!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, although it wasn't until I was in my teens that I began to seriously think about my faith. I now realize my true place as a child of God. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, and that this truly is Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I do my best to be a good example to my younger brothers and sisters, and to think about what I am doing before I act. I don't feel restricted at all by certain do's and don'ts that we follow. In all honesty, staying away from some things makes life that much easier to live. And I consider myself a pretty normal person haha.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Braxten
We believe that because God is a loving Heavenly Father, he wants all of His children to have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and recieve the saving ordinances. Baptisms for the dead allow all to recieve the ordinance of baptism. Whether or not they accept it is still up to them in the next life. Show more Show less
