Hi I'm Kaitlin McKinlay

I'm a fashion designer, I keep ladies lookin' chic.

About Me

I am a fashion design student attending the Art Institute of California-San Francisco. I adore all things lovely, chic, whimsical, and imaginative. I love to watch black and white movies, read intriguing books, and celebrate holidays. I am extremely close to my 4 sisters and 1 brother, and I couldn't be more proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a lot of security in understanding that God knows me and is in control of what happens both on a universal scale and in my own personal life. Being a Mormon means hope, optimisms, enlightenment, knowledge, joy, and stability. I know the doctrines of the church hold the truth of who I am where I am going. Being a Mormon allots me the pleasure of living life to the fullest and enduring to the end.

How I live my faith

I teach the dating and relationships class in my congregation of young, single adults. I fortify myself every day by listening to uplifting talks. I surround myself with literature that is uplifting and enlightening by authors both within and outside of my faith. I live my faith by not buying into some of the shallow conceptions that are prevalent in the industry I work in. The way I dress myself gives vent to my creativity, however it does not compromise my standards. There are no requirements to be my friend. My goal is to build others up as much as possible and to always make everyone feel comfortable and appreciated. I think it takes a great deal of faith to question your values and beliefs. The key lies in searching for answers and seeking out the truth. It is not wrong to ask questions, only to be unwilling to listen to the answer. I've learned as I live my faith that you can't understand the truth when you're heart and mind are closed.
