Hi I'm KelliAnn

I was an elementary teacher for four years. Now I spend time playing with and teaching my own beautiful girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mommy to two beautiful girls, so right now I spend lots of time cooking, cleaning, playing pretend, and taking pictures because they are growing up too fast! Before I had my own kids, I taught elementary school for four years, in both Utah and California. My husband and I were high school friends. We started dating after we graduated and then got married after he returned from a mission to Brazil. Right now the best thing about my life is just being a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, so I have learned about our doctrine from an early age. I have always known that I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants me to be happy here on earth and to return back home to Him. Through small, perhaps seemingly insignificant things that have happened to me, I know that He knows me personally and cares about what is going on in my life. As I have gotten older, I have realized that the things I have always known in my head, I actually really believe in my heart. For a while, when I was pregnant with my second baby, it looked as if there was a big chance she would be born with deformities or might not live long at all. Though it turned out that she is perfectly healthy (a miracle to us), I went through a lot of inner turmoil before that. I came to realize that all of the things I know about eternal families and the plan my Heavenly Father has for me, I actually believe with all of my heart. I found a lot of peace in that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I go to church with my husband and girls every Sunday. We take the sacrament each week and try to get as much out of the talks as we can with two kids! Then my husband and I teach the seven-year-olds about Jesus and His teachings. Our baby comes with us, and our three-year-old goes to her own class. On Tuesdays, I teach the eight- and nine-year-old scouts in our area. We do activities and work on earning awards.
