Hi I'm Tim

I live in Michigan, have an incredible wife, 4 children, 6 grandchildren, am passionate about music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my wife! She is my best friend and the light of my life. She inspires me to be my best self. I also love music. Music has always touched me spiritually. It makes me more aware of myself, of my surroundings, and of the blessings our family receives every day. Music that is both beautifully written and performed offers a glimpse of eternity. We enjoy having music in our home - music helps us feel closer to each other and helps us better recognize the love Heavenly Father has for us. Our favorite times are when we are together, singing songs we love, laughing, and feeling close to each other. For us, this is heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I met a Mormon family at the high school I attended, was invited over for an activity, where I first heard about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I was raised in a loving Catholic home, and had been taught about Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. But what I learned from the full time missionaries sounded so familiar - it was as if I knew some of it before, and was really only re-learning it. I spent time over the next 2 years meeting with missionaries, attending church meetings, learning about the commandments, reading in the Book of Mormon, and understanding how to pray and receive answers from Heavenly Father. I did receive an answer to prayer, and was baptized to show my faith in Jesus Christ. It was not an easy thing to do, but it was worth it. I served a full time mission, and returned more committed than ever to the principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. My life and family are blessed each day as we make decisions that bring us closer to Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I have found that as I choose to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, even though it most often requires change on my part, I will always feel good about the decision, and will always feel good about myself. I continue to study and pray, and to receive answers to my prayers. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I life my faith by simply trying to do what I can to serve those whom I am asked to help. For me, it is beneficial to memorize favorite passages from the Bible and Book of Mormon, to help me remember promises made at baptism. This enables me to make good choices. One of my favorites is in Proverbs: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
