Hi I'm Mitch

I'm an undergrad student in Montana and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Currently a student in Montana. I love to go fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and playing all types of sports. Spending time with my family is my most favorite thing to do by far, there is nothing better. I come from a family of 7. 5 siblings, 3 boys and 2 girls. I'm very close to each one of them. I have my church to thank for that. I am also married to a beautiful wife who continues to bless my life every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true on my own. I received a testimony then and there that can never be erased. With that testimony, came my testimony that Jesus Christ is truly God's Beloved Son and the He did conquer that which he claimed. He truly suffered for us and He is able to enhance our lives even at moments when we think it's impossible.

How I live my faith

Currently, I'm regularly attending Institute classes at the local University with my wife and I'm a Deacon's Quorum Adviser. Trying to focus on school, prepare for law school, and participate in Church as much as I possibly can. By reading the scriptures and praying nightly with my wife, it helps every aspect of my everyday life. Constant church attendance and striving to fulfill my callings has been key to retaining the spirituality needed in this hectic, everyday life.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No. We always live by, "When the Lord commands do it." The Lord commanded the members of the Church to stop the practice of polygamy in the late 1800's. Members of this Church do not practice polygamy, any other Church that goes by the name "Mormon" and practices polygamy, is not associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Are Mormons Christians?

Most definitely. If someone truly wants to know if Mormon's are Christians... just take a look at the Church's "real" name. The Church of Jesus Christ. Are we Christians? Most definitely. We belief Jesus Christ is the very Son of God. He is the One who made our Salvation possible. He is the only way to Eternal Life. Show more Show less

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing goes to building up of God's kingdom. Since there's no paid clergy, you can have full confidence where the tithing goes. It goes to building Temples, Church Buildings, Missionaries, and for all the necessities that go into the buildings (Heating, etc.). Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The Church does not endorse any political party. Though times may be difficult and politics ever present causing much contention. The Church values have been the influence over my political choice. The Doctrine and Covenants of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints states, "...I have established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up..." (D&C 101:80). With the knowledge that our Father in Heaven has established the Constitution, it is wise to stand for this document in whatever party we are associated with. It protects our Liberties and every party is capable of following such a statement. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

"Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Luke 18:16 We believe that each of us are spiritual children of our Father in Heaven. Coming to this earth is a right that God grants to his children to learn and grow through the trials of life. When we make rash decisions to take away that child's opportunity of having a life, parents, future children, and grandchildren.... we are taking away their God-given agency. Only in instances if rape, incest, or life of the mother is at stake; abortion should be opposed. Show more Show less
