Hi I'm April

I'm a California Girl, Mom of two and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am wife, mother of two girls and a math tutor. I love photography. I love the beach. I love shopping, watching my kids play soccer and listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was only one year old. As a child I learned to love my Savior and gained a testimony of the principles of the gospel. My faith has helped me through trials and tough decisions in my life. It has helped me because I know that I am a daughter of God and that he cares about me as an individual.

How I live my faith

We have participated in Mormon Helping Hands (Community Service Project) and We enjoy doing service for our military families. This past Christmas we wrapped Christmas gifts for the Children of those serving in the Military. Giving back to those in our community gives me such joy inside.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Having two teenage daughters I truly believe that modesty and chastity are strongly related. We have taught our daughters to respect their bodies. The way we dress on the outside can and does make an impression of what others think of us. By dressing modestly teens and adults can eliminate unwanted sexual advances and truly focus on friendships and healthy relationships with others. We have taught our daughters and found it to be true, that young men respect and value you as an individual when you stand up for your values and have respect for yourself. You can totally be cute and trendy, and remain modest. I am so thankful for the gospel and the principles of modesty and chastity. Our friends and family respect us for our strong values. It makes life easier when you have made your choice for chastity ahead of time. By dressing modestly we can avoid temptations and just be ourselves. It is awesome. Show more Show less
