Hi I'm Dr. C

I'm a Mormon and physician.

About Me

I enjoy the outdoors. I love to hunt and fish. I enjoy working with the Boy Scouts of America. I exercise by playing Basketball, Tennis, Kick box or Biking. I am the father of 5 children and husband to a runner/photographer.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents were converts after hearing the gospel taught by missionaries. I was raised hearing the stories of Jesus. After reading the Bible and Book of Mormon, my desire to follow the Savior by serving God, my family and others has increased. My love for our Redeemer has increased my love for God, my family and others. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has provided me with increased understanding of our Heavenly Father, His only begotten Son and atonement. The simple answer is it increases my happiness as I apply the principles taught by the Savior.

How I live my faith

As a physician I remind myself and my patients that there is one true Physician and I'm not Him. It helps each of us remember that there is one greater than us all we can go to. I express my love for my Heavenly Father by trying to be obediant to the Lord's commands. I express my love for others by serving them and by trying to be kind, forgiving and patient. As a husband/father I prioritize time with my wife and family. I work hard to provide their needs. My wife and I emphasize to our children their need for a personal testimony of the Savior, the need for personal responsibility and the value of hard work.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Dr. C
The Bible is the word of God. We also believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have a friend who is Jewish. She believes the old testament of the bible, but not the new testament. Although the old testament is great, not reading or understanding the new testament is unfortunate. My friend is missing out from the additional accounts of Jesus Christ amoung the Isrealites. Missing out of additional testimonies of His divinity, power and love. The same can be said of my friends who haven't or don't read or understand the Book of Mormon. The additional accounts of Jesus Christ, additional testimonies to His divinity, power and love all add to our understanding and increase our desire to love and serve God and others.
