Hi I'm Aaron

I am a father of seven and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of seven and just recently finished my bachelors degree, it took me 17 years. My hobbies are my family and most of my time is spent with them, outside of work and church. Most of my youth was spend traveling from place to place while my father was in the United States Air Force and it was not until I was married that I settled in one area. I met my wife while she was teaching 6th grade in California and a year after we were married we moved to her home town in Arizona. She always wanted a large family, from eight to twelve, but seven is what the Lord blessed us with. My wife and kids are the joy of my life and ever since I was a little boy I have dreamed of being a father and filling my life with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that were all members of the LDS church. My mother joined the church when she was a little girl and my father joined while in the United States military serving in Vietnam in the late 1960's. Though we were all Mormon, we did not attend regularly until later in my teens. I always remember feeling that the Mormon church was right and was God's true church but it was not until the summer between my junior and senior year of high school that I became converted for myself. I started feeling a desire to attend church and read scripture for myself, not just because I was supposed to. There was a joy in my life that was never there before. I felt the Holy Spirit working in me and telling me the life and religion I was a part of was right and the doctrine and practices of the Mormon church was how I was to live my life. I continue to feel the Holy Ghost every time I read and study the scripture and attend church. I know that Jesus is the Christ and my Savior. I know He lives and that He suffered and died for me and was resurrected. I know Joseph Smith is a true prophet and restored the truth that had been lost for years. I know the teachings of the LDS church are correct and true and I that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I also know that the current prophet is God's true prophet.

How I live my faith

As for my family and I, our faith is everything. All we do is about family and serving the Lord in the church and have always tried to live our lives according to the beliefs of our faith. I currently serve and assit with the young men in the seven congregations in our area along with represent the church in the local Boy Scout district for these congregations. Specifically, my responsibilities are to help ensure each scout troop have everything they need to succed and serve their youth. I also had the opportunity to serve as a bishop for five years and enjoyed working with the youth and other members of a large congregation.
