Hi I'm Chase Willden

I am a swimmer, I love sports, a pianist, a composer, a dreamer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a swimmer and have been for about 2 years now. I swam competitively and enjoyed it so much. I did 2 semesters of college and it was pretty sweet. I have been playing the piano for about 12 years and entered into many different competitions. Music was and still is my life and that's where I find the time to express myself, and no one even knows it, unless you listen. I have dreams to write the most difficult piano piece in the world! But I won't even be able to play it. I have been a member of the church for my whole life. When writing music, I would often begin with a prayer to ask for opinions on what I should do with the music that I write.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is where I should be and I know it's where God wants me to be. I have always grown up in the faith and have really always based my testimony off of my parents. Then when I moved up to Idaho, one of my best friends really tried my faith and my faith in Christ. My friend was in the wrong place, at the wrong time because of it, it changed his life. That opened my eyes and it opened my families eyes. This experience drew me closer to my family, realizing they are there for me and that they will always be there for me. It drew me closer to the scriptures, which draws anyone closer to God. God is the reason why things happen and God has a plan that exceeds my knowlege greatly and all I know is that I am part of his plan. I love it.

How I live my faith

I play the piano alot for the wards I am in. I play the hymns so that everybody can sing along to them. I am currently serving a mission and I am very involved with helping others come unto Christ, that is my biggest calling and that is how I am living my faith.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Chase Willden
Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. We do not worship him, just like we do not worship Moses, we see him as a great prophet of God called to do a great work. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Chase Willden
A testimony is a belief that became a knowlege for yourself. Such as I know that there is a God. Through personal study and experiences I now know that there is a God. Testimonies are confirmed by the Holy Ghost and can benifit others. Show more Show less
