Hi I'm Jared

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California and raised in Utah. As the youngest of six kids, there was always something gun to do growing up. I love being part of a big family. With my friends I enjoyed filming movies and selling candy. We were very entrepreneurial kids. In high school I fell in love with track and field. I ran the hurdles. I loved running so much I did it in college too. I went to college for one year before my mission. I served a mission in Florida. I loved it so much. I felt so happy on my mission and learned so much. It was the best decision I have ever made. Now I have been home for almost a year (wow the time has flown by!) I am going to college again and working. I am happy with all the challenges and all the good times I have had in my life to this point.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have recieved a witness from the Holy Ghost that this church is true! I was raised a member of the church, but at an early age my testimony was tried. My father left the church and my parents separated over the issue. Later I received a very strong confirmation about these are true while serving as a volunteer for special needs children. As I have done what I feel to be right my faith and testimony have grown. I am so grateful for the scriptures. I would fall into many bad temptations if I did not have the strength of the scriptures keeping me on the straight and narrow!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church, reading the scriptures and trying to do some act of service every day. I feel the happiest when I am doing service. I feel God's love stronger when I try to serve others and do what is right. I am not perfect by any meant, but I feel like to do put daily effort into trying to become more like the Savoir.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionary work is near and dear to my heart. How is the message of the restoration of the gospel going to spread if there are not people out there sharing it? The message is personal and needs to be taught in a way that the Holy Ghost can testify of the truths of the gospel. I saw so many lives that were blessed through missionary work on my mission. I learned to much from serving a mission. I think proselyting does much good for both the missionary and the person receiving the message. Show more Show less
