Hi I'm Jonathon

I'm a Martial Artist. I have served the Lord in Michigan for 2 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family had the opportunity to travel the world and learn about other cultures because of my fathers military career. I have had the opportunity to live in Europe and I picked up a little of the German language while stationed there. I enjoy rock climbing and actually made a job out of it by becoming a certified climbing instructor. I like to be outdoors in pretty much any season of the year, whether it's on the field facing friends in paintball or carving up a mountain with my snowboard. Othertimes I just like to relax and practice my photography on basically anything from little bugs to awesome mountains. It helps me to appreciate all of God's work. When I'm not outside, you can find me in a Tae Kwon Do class practicing my skills and helping others learn as well. If nothing else I am a gamer; I love to play a good game with my friends online or playing with them right next to me.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad was raised in this church and my mom was the one who converted. I was raised in this faith and I love it. For a time I was leaning on my parents testimony and I really didn't have one of my own. I had to find out for myself whether this church is true or not. The answer I got was that it is true, because I received that answer from God. I know that this church is the Lord's kingdom here again on the earth, and that we, the world, have a living prophet who leads and guides us in these days. I also know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God to help restore His church again, and that Joseph Smith could not have done this great work if it had not been for the power of God. And through the power of God the Book of Mormon was translated for everyone, and it is scripture written by prophets called of God and is another witness testifying that Jesus is the Christ. There is no other way back to Heavenly Father unless it is through Jesus Christ's gospel.

How I live my faith

I was a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I loved it. I loved to talk about our faith with other people and to understand theirs as well. I am not perfect but I try my best to align myself with the example He set for all of us. This is an awesome work.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Some of the things that tell me there is a God is that when I look around me and see what our planet is like, it's mind boggling. It's not only our planet but also our universe and how it is still changing and new things are being formed. I also pray to Him and I receive answers; granted sometimes I don't get the answers when I want them or even the answers I was expecting, but He does answer because He is our loving Heavenly Father. He wants us to be happy in this life and I have received a witness of this. He also wants us to return to His presence. He is real and He is there. Show more Show less
