Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a full-time wife, a full-time mother, and a full-time Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife of an amazing entrepreneur. We have 2 girls (2.5 years, 9 months) and another girl on the way in November. Being a mother has brought tremendous joy into my life. I have a passion for technology, teaching and learning. I have kept a daily journal since age 8. I speak Romanian and interpreted for General Conference for 4 years. I love to travel and have visited 15 countries. I am a member of the International Bed Race team in Preston, Idaho (definitely a world-class annual event). I married a Canadian. I have a PhD in Instructional Psychology & Technology from Brigham Young University. Some of my hobbies include running, playing the piano, playing with technology (creating videos, blogging, digital scrapbooks, trying new products and services), meeting new people, cooking, and singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life, and I love it. Living the gospel has brought me great peace and joy. I am grateful for the truths and knowledge of the gospel that is found in this church. I know who I am, why I am here, and where I am going because I'm a Mormon. My life has purpose, meaning and direction. I'm grateful that I can pray to a loving Heavenly Father at any time. My prayers have been answered on countless occasions, and I know I have been led in the small and big decisions that I have made in my life. Being a Mormon helps me stay close to my Savior and provides a plan for me to make it back to live with Him and the rest of my family.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is just a natural part of my life. I find great joy in serving others and have had many opportunities to do that as a Mormon. I am currently the compassionate service leader in my ward. This has been a wonderful calling for me and has provided me with many opportunities to get to know the sisters better in my ward. I essentially coordinate meals for people when they are sick or have new babies, help sisters clean before they move in or out of our area, give rides, make visits, and help with any other random thing that someone needs. Jesus Christ spent his life in the service of others, and I try to pattern my life after His.
