Hi I'm Chandra

I like to travel and have new experiences with my family . I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for 23 years and we have four wonderful children. I finished my schooling in dental hygiene 12 years ago, with 3 small children and a lot of support from my husband and family. I work one day a week as a dental hygienist, but my real love is being a wife and mother! I enjoy traveling, hiking, movies, adventure, playing games, creating and reading. Our family worked together over this past year to remodel our home. It has been a lot of work, and we're not done yet, but the results and skills learned are amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

There is so much joy in following the teachings of Jesus Christ! Through daily prayer, scripture reading and finding ways to be of service to others I feel close to my Heavenly Father. I know He loves me, personally, and has provided a way for me to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

As a mother, I do a lot for my family. I also like to be a part of my community. I help with our high school marching band by serving as uniform chairperson. I enjoy getting to know the kids from the high school and the other parents that help with the band. I teach art masterpiece once a week at the elementary school. I enjoy learning about the art as much as the kids! At church I am a part of an organization for girls ages 12-18. I work with all the leaders and the girls that live near me. There is instruction given each week on Sundays and weekly activities planned by the girls and leaders. One of the highlights is an annual Girls' Camp where we all enjoy the beauty of the outdoors- hiking, learning new skills, singing, sharing and growing closer to each other and our Savior. The organization is a great place to be! Girls can take part in a achievement program that helps them become the person they want to be.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

I have a son currently serving a mission for 24 months. A mission is funded by the missionary and his family. He worked and saved as much as time would allow during his high school years. During our house remodel, he learned skills such as electrical work, plumbing and demolition. Instead of hiring out some of this work, he earned money by using these skills to improve our home.
