Hi I'm Megan

I'm so glad to be a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Montana and visit as often as I am able. I have great parents, 4 brothers and a sister who are all wonderful. I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful kids. I am married to a great guy who is working on attaining his PhD. Life can be pretty crazy with 3 small children and a husband who is extremely busy, but both my husband and I work hard to stay connected to each other and our kids. I love mountains, reading, cooking fun meals, being with my family, visiting relatives, visiting friends, and a few other things when I have some extra time. I feel I have a very rich life.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother's parents were converts. My Dad's family have been members for many generations. So I was born into the church and was baptized at age 8. I believed the teachings of the gospel ever since I was young, but as I have grown older that belief has become more real and strong and has become more a part of who I am. I realize the impact my membership has had on me over the course of my life. I did not always realize this impact when I was young, but looking back I can see it clearly. I love this gospel. I know that Christ is at the head of this church and He has appointed worthy and loving leaders to guide us and to care for us. Jesus Christ is our Savior. I believe we need him in our lives. We need his love, his guidance, and we need to know his sacrifice for us. I believe knowing Christ brings peace and happiness to our lives.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is by serving others. I go to church every Sunday and have the opportunity to teach 6 and 7 year old children about the gospel. We talk about how we can live righteously and how we can love others as Heavenly Father and Jesus love us. It is great to hear the things that these sweet children say to me. They help me to realize just how special they are to our Heavenly Father. Spending this time with them helps me to know love and how I can feel it deeply by serving others.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, we are Christians. Though we are different in some ways from other Christian churches, we hold the same belief in Jesus Christ. We believe that he died for our sins. We believe that he is our Savior and Redeemer and that there is no other way back to our Heavenly Father than through Christ. We belong to a religion that is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
