Hi I'm Peter

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I do marketing in the high tech industry - mostly for smaller start-up companies. I've been an entrepreneur since my college days at the University of Utah. A corporate job in Manhattan was our first stop 26 years ago but soon we decided that I needed a more family friendly commute and we moved our then small family to the Atlanta area. I've been married to my sweet and patient wife for 30 years now. We have six children and two grandchildren. The outdoors have always beckoned me, so I love hiking and camping. I also love world and U.S. Travel. In a few years when our last two children are grown, my wife and I plan to serve as missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother joined the Mormon church when two American missionaries visited our home in England in the early 1960s. When I was 14 I decided that I had to know for myself if this church was true, as it boldly proclaimed. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed and asked God if this book was true. In answer to my prayer I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon was true and with the Bible testifies that Christ lives and is our redeemer. With this knowledge I committed my life to serving God and to keeping his commandments.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon has helped me to be a better person. Since boyhood, I've had continual opportunities to serve others in church congregations and in my community. I served a two year mission in Scotland and learned to love those great and generous people. I've served as a scoutmaster and church youth leader. I especially enjoy teaching the gospel of Christ to others. In my current church calling as the Bishop like a pastor of our congregation, I have many chances to help fellow members as they struggle to find jobs and meet their financial obligations. Perhaps the greatest blessing of church membership is what I've learned that has helped me to become a better husband and father.
