Hi I'm Karla

I am a teacher, a mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 7, a teacher, and a computer geek. I love to read, crochet, and swim. If I had my choice I would stay up late, and sleep late every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but that is not why I am a member of the church. I am a member because I know, personally, that the teaching of Jesus Christ are true. I read and study the scriptures. I pray and ask for help, and I receive it. I do the things He asks me to do, and I feel the joy and peace that comes from doing what's right. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church restored on the earth in our time. I know the priesthood power has been restored to help guide us back to Him. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon for me is a way of life and not just something I do on Sunday. I try to live as Jesus would want me to. He love and served other every day of the week. I try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I have helped and supported the Boy Scouts. I teach a women's class one Sunday a month. For years I was in charge a of camp for 12 to 18 year old girls each summer. We would take about 100 girls into the Sierra to camp for a week. I love the sense of community and love that I feel as I serve with other church members to help where ever I can. We are learning and working together to accomplish our goals.
