Hi I'm Cassidy

I'm a school teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

History Teacher in Utah From Orange County, California Hobbies: Photography, Travel, Reading

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but came to gain my only personal feelings about the Church when I was a teenager. There comes a point when you just have to find out for yourself about family beliefs. If I was still relying on my parent's feelings towards the Church, it wouldn't have been enough to keep me here. But, after prayer and studying myself to know if this was what I was suppose to do, I felt in my heart an overwhelming peace that this was indeed God's Church.

How I live my faith

I don't believe that faith is something you just believe, but it should effect how you act. I live my faith by showing optimism that life has a purpose and meaning, and that someone out there is aware of me. I voluntarily serve in the Church of my own time, because I know it's what God wants me to do.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision is a common phrase among the church of the experience that Joseph Smith had when he entered a forest to pray and find out for himself what Church he should join. During this prayer, God and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that the true church was not on the earth but would be brought back (restored) through him. Show more Show less
