Hi I'm Candace

I'm an older Sister, an artist, a ballerina, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served a full time mission in Ohio, at the beautiful Kirtland Visitor Center. I loved every minute of it! Serving the Lord full time really is the best thing I have decided to do and it's been a wonderful blessing to my family. I'm the oldest of five kids, two brothers and two sisters. They are some of my best friends. I love spending time out side, especially camping and back-packing! I also love to dance, especially Pointe Ballet. I'm majoring in Special Needs Education and Early Childhood Education. Currently I am nannying two my little cousins and this has been such a wonderful experience for me! I love working with children, they teach you so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up being a Mormon, but there always comes a point in a persons life when they have to figure out for themselves if what they've been taught their whole lives is for them. That point came for me, it wasn't anything huge, I just decided to pray to find out for myself and I'm a Mormon because that prayer was answered. Being a Mormon has blessed my life and my families life immensely. I would not be the person I am today without it. I love the Book of Mormon, it has changed my life and I know without a doubt that it is the word of God. I know Joseph Smith Jr. is the prophet of the Restoration, without the power of prayer we wouldn't have Christ's Gospel again on the earth today as it is found in the Bible.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. Meaning I try to be positive and always follow Christ. I try to love those I come in contact with and treat them as Christ would treat them. I had the awesome opportunity to go around teaching others about Christ and how He is our Savior and that with Him we can accomplish anything while I was on my mission in Ohio. I try and continue to live my faith by showing my love for Christ. I live my faith by being a good older sister and cousin that my family can look up to and know that I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel, someone they can talk to or hang out with and have fun with. I live my faith by being me, a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, I stand as a witness of Him at all times and in all places and in all things.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We proselyte because we know how much these truths have blessed our lives and we want everyone to know these things and be blessed. I know that Jesus is the Christ, that He really did die for us so that we could come unto Him in repentance and eventually make it back to live with Him and our Heavenly Father and with our families for eternity. How awesome is that? Life does not end here, it continues on! The purpose of this life is to gain experience and to follow Christs example. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today that guides and directs this church, his name is Thomas S. Monson, he directs it by receiving revelation. I know that when we follow the Prophet and read the Book of Mormon and go to church things fall into place and we are a lot happier and life is a little easier to handle. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Nope, we don't worship Joseph Smith. We worship Jesus Christ. This is His church, not Joseph's. We love Joseph, for without his faith and him acting upon the direction given in James Chapter 1 verse 5 we wouldn't have Christ's restored Gospel today. Show more Show less
