Hi I'm Chelsea

I was born with a hearing loss. I have a cochlear implant. I can hear and speak like any hearing person. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born with a hearing loss. Some doctors told my parents to put me in a school and forget about me. They didn't listen to them. They were guided by Heavenly Father to help me throughout my life. I have a cochlear implant and can hear and speak like anyone else born with hearing. I was mainstreamed into the public school district and graduated with others in my class and went on to college. I am happily married with two young children that can hear just perfectly. With God nothing is impossible!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the gospel. I have felt Heavenly Father and Jesus's love for me all my life. He has always been there for me, especially during High School and times of great frustration with my peers. I knew that I had gained a testimony of this gospel in my early youth and my testimony continues to grow and strengthen with every trial I am faced with.

How I live my faith

I always make it a priority to have a smile on my face for others, especially for the little children in our ward. There is nothing like a warm smile from a stranger or from a friend. Smiles are universal, and warm like a hug, almost. I read the scriptures daily and I find prayer soothing and helps me throughout each day. I strive to help others in need and visit some of the sisters in my ward.
