Hi I'm Ashley

I love to laugh, travel, be with friends and family. Music is my joy... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, what can I say...I was born in Canada, but grew up in Missouri. I served an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. I was going to school for Music Performance and Musical Theater before that, now I want to go to school for foreign languages and music. I love music! It fills me up from the inside out. I am a girl who loves to laugh! I love to be happy! Its the best, don't you agree? I love to hang out with my family and friends, but I also love when I can have some alone time as well. I love to just go outside and look at all the wonders there are in this world. It never ceases to amaze me all the wonderful things our Heavenly Father has given us. I've always loved trees, and the stars are ever fascinating. I have a golden retriever named penny and I love her to death! I love animals(snakes and some others not included, sorry..but no). I love to travel and see new places. I've had the chance to go to Europe twice and loved every minute of it. Disney is now on my list of places to go... I can't wait! I love to read. I love books, old, new, big, or small.. I love to sit with a good book and feel the pages as I turn them.. books can take you places you only dream of going too.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I want to be happy. My parents brought me up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and although I wasn't always grateful for that, I am now..theres a saying that if you have to work for something you appreciate it more then if its just given to you..well the gospel was given to me, but I didn't fully appreciate it until I hit some hard places and started to search, to find out for myself what was right.. I had to find out if it was true just like anyone else.. I had to read my scriptures, study and pray. Thats how I know for myself, (not because someone else told me but because I asked and searched for myself) that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Jesus Christs church on the earth today. That Heavenly Father hears our prayers and we can receive answers to our questions. Heavenly Father never stops talking to us, we stop listening. I've had the experience of having the gospel in my life and not having it. Overall life is pretty miserable and lonely without it.. Yes you can convince yourself that your happy or you can have moments of happiness.. but that true happiness, that peace of the soul is only found through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't know about the rest of the world, maybe someone likes being miserable I dont' know..but I want that happiness, and so I'm thankful that our Heavenly Father has provided a way for us to be happy, and thats through the gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a number of ways.. the way I talk, the places I go, and the things I do... It was an interesting thought one day... Heavenly Father sees all that I do....He knows everything about me, especially that I'm not perfect..I make mistakes all the time, but the wonderful thing is, is that I can repent, and do better... there is no trying by the way... You either do or you don't.... "I once had someone ask me to do something and I said "well, I'll try" and they looked at me and said "ok, TRY to lift up your right hand".. So I lifted up my right hand... they said " I didn't say lift up your right hand, I said TRY to"... see the difference?... You either do or you don't...it took me a long time to figure that out, but its never to late to start again and do your best.... So in conclusion I live my faith by the fact that I keep living... don't ever stop... don't ever give up... Heavenly Father will always be there for us... even when we don't want Him to..He loves us each individually so much...He will never leave our side.. but we have to be willing to receive His help. So Pray, read the scriptures, go to church... I promise you"ll be happier:)
