Hi I'm Cayce

IM 20 yrs. old. I grew up in Mississippi. I love to hunt , fish, or do anything outside. Im a Mormon

About Me

Well, I grew up outside with a fishing pole and a gun in my hand. I love to hunt and fish. You might say it is a passion and an obsession. I also love to ride four wheelers and work on cars or trucks. My dad is a mechanic and got me hooked. I have also been playing baseball since I was 5 yrs. old. I have been through 2 semesters of college so far and plan on going back to play baseball. I also love to surf, long board, and skimboard! I shoot a PSE bow, a Remington rifle, and I drive a jacked up f-150! Yep... im a redneck too!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was baptized when I was eight years old. But my testimony of the truthfullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ did not come until I was 18 yrs. old. I had lived my life like most teenagers and not made the best choices. My mom, who is a convert from the Methodist, tried to raise me right. Of course I did not listen much. But, I was reading the scriptures one night and the Spirit touched me. I prayed to know if the things I had been doing all my life were true? It was revealed to me through the Spirit that they were. I then changed completely and now am on a mission for the church. The Gospel means so much to me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. His Church is here on the earth again and I know this because I am a part of it and the Spirit has bore witness to me that it is.

How I live my faith

Since I have been in the Church I have been able to severe those around me alot. We do alot of service. I have been able to be a part of a Emergency Prepardness program with the church. So, we helped those in the Church and in the community prepare for the worst. Since I lived in MS we were mainly preparing for hurricaines and bad weather. But, we helped organize evacuation plans, food storage, and other things to prepare for the unknown. It was fun and great to be able to work with the people around you.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Cayce
Missionaries actually pay for most of their own missions. So, that includes all the rent, food, and things like that. Sometimes missionaries dont have the means for themselves to provide, so, funds from other missionaries help to pay for their mission. So, in the end it all works out because the cost of living is diffrent all over the world so its cheaper for some and more expensive for others. Show more Show less
