Hi I'm Rachel.

I'm a mother and wife. I'm a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of three years and the mother of a beautiful baby boy. I love writing, horseback riding, music, the great outdoors, and just spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have always known it's true, but it wasn't until I was an adolescent that I truly developed a testimony for myself. As I struggled through the typical pre-teen trials of self-doubt and sometimes even self-loathing, I saw the Lord's hand in my life, felt His love as I prayed, and received His guidance as I read His holy scriptures. I came to know that my life was happier when I chose to follow Him. Jesus Christ has given us the gospel because He loves us and wants us to be happy. Because of Him, my life has been full of peace and joy, even in the darkest of times.

How I live my faith

I serve as the secretary in the children's organization in our ward, called the Primary. My role is to support the Primary President and her counselors in keeping things organized and supporting the teachers called to instruct the children in the gospel, as well as reaching out to children who may not be attending. It is a blessing to be acquainted with the Lord's little ones and to feel their simple faith every week. The Lord has blessed me and my family so much, that I have committed myself to accept whatever opportunities to serve the Lord come my way, whether it be making someone dinner or serving in a new calling in our ward, as one meager way I can show the Lord how grateful I am.
