Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Southern California. I love basketball and waterskiing. I'm currently on my mission in Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play basketball and I enjoy watching all sports. I am currently serving a mission for the LDS church. I attended and played basketball at UC San Diego before my mission. I'm the second child of five and I really enjoy spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life and I am so grateful for that. I know I am a child of God and He loves each and every one of us. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and because of His atonement I can find happiness in this life and the life after. Families are so important to God and I am truly grateful to know the importance of family and to have such an amazing one myself. I contribute all the happiness we have as a family to the Gospel and what it has taught us. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and if one diligently studies it, they can come closer to God, because I have seen that in my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission in Mexico. I am committing two years of my life to share this wonderful Gospel with others, so they can experience the same happiness I have in my life.

What is the First Vision?

The first vision is the factual event when Joseph Smith went into a grove of trees to pray to God to know which church to join. God the Father and His son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph and told him that none of the churches were true, or they did not contain the fulness of the Gospel, and through him, God would restore the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ back onto the earth. In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ because through Him we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
