Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a young mother of three. I'm currently attending college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a busy mom of three little ones and I'm currently going to school to pursue a Masters in Nursing. I am an avid reader and cook--I love planning and making meals for my family! My husband keeps busy as an auto mechanic. He is Mexican so we really enjoy sharing his culture as well!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and have always enjoyed not only the knowledge that I have of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but also the relationships that knowledge has allowed me to establish. I have come to know through living gospel principles that this is what true happiness -- peace that can't be found anywhere else! The gospel grounds me, gives me a perspective on life that allows me to put emphasis on truly important things!

How I live my faith

RIght now I serve in the women's organization in the church planning our activities. My husband and I attend a Spanish branch, which allows us the opportunity to learn about and participate in the Hispanic culture. I love planning activities to teach the women how to be better mothers and wives and better prepared to face this world. We strive to educate the women to become self-sufficient, educated and knowledgeable about many things. I also try to teach my children in my home by preparing fun and simple "Family Home Evenings" where we learn simple lessons about Jesus and gospel principles and we read from the Book of Mormon every evening as a family (as least we make a sincere effort!) I try to maintain my own spiritual strength by praying a reading from the scriptures daily. I also enjoy discussing what I'm learning with my husband to help us grow spiritually and become more united as husband and wife.
