Hi I'm Dany

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Southern California. I love to share the gospel with everyone.

About Me

Hi! I am a misisonary in Utah. Soon I will be headed home to California and continue to share the gospel as a "civilian". Some of my hobbies are writing short stories, lyrics and songs on my accordian and piano. I love dancing in front of the mirror and singing as I jump on my bed. My favorite thing to do is to laugh. Things are always funnier when you're not supposed to laugh, I think. After my mission, I plan to continue my education in Literature and Musical Theatre. Why I am a Mormon

Why not? I was baptized when I was 8 years old. The missionaries knocked on our door and shared the gospel for the first time when I was 7 so I was not old enough to be baptized with my parents. I always knew the church was a good thing. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps you become a better person, but the reason for my conversion was because I came to realize that the gospel of Jesus Christ is not to help you be a better individual, but to help you return to God and Jesus Christ with your family. I think the question is, why did I choose to STAY a Mormon? When I was 19 years old, something inside of me- I don't know what, wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was a true book like everyone at church said it was. "What does that even mean?" I asked myself.l came across the book of Alma chapter 5 verses 45-46 in the Book of Mormon. Alma, a prophet, said that he now knew for himself that the gospel was true and that he knew beccuase he had prayed and fasted many days. He said that God let him know through the power of the Holy Ghost. Alma was kind of a "baddy- bad" in his youth, yet God had revealed the truthfullness of the gospel to him. I questioned if God would answer my prayers too. I read, pondered and prayed about the words I read in the Book of Mormon for many days. I remember reading one day when I felt the spirit confirm to me through peace in my heart that it was a true book! Many times now, I have the same feeling when I read it with a question in mind and receive my answers through the Book of Mormon. Now, I too know for myself that these things are true. How do you suppose I know of these things? God has confirmed it to me through His spirit.

How I live my faith

I have used my talents to serve the Lord. I have participated in many plays and musicals about stories in the Bible. I feel that it is a fun way to learn about the characters and heroes from the Old and New Testament. Also, I have volunteered as a leader for an organization called Young Women. We went on a 4 day camp where we hiked, cooked outdoors, and worked on spiritual goals in our lives. I love that Heavenly Father has trusted me with his precious daughters. I really enjoy serving the youth in the church.
