Hi I'm Valerie

I'm a mother of twin girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a degree in Economics. I have been happily married for 4 1/2 years. I'm a mother to twin girls, and I'm expecting a baby boy soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, but I have worked hard to develop my own testimony. I never do anything just because I am told to. I have to know that I am doing something because it is right. Living on my own and then starting a family have taught me how important the gospel of Jesus Christ is in my life. I enjoy the peace that reading the scriptures, praying, keeping the commandments, and serving others gives me.

How I live my faith

I'm very busy as a mother to twins, but I've found time to serve as a counselor in my Branch Relief Society Presidency. I help with the welfare program, conduct Relief Society Meetings, and get to know the women in the Branch on a one on one level. My favorite responsibly is planning a meeting for women to get together on a weekday once a month. These meetings are an opportunity for us to socialize and learn ways to implement gospel teachings into our lives. I've found that if I take care of my responsibilities at church then I am better able to take care of my responsibilities at home (and vise-versa.)
