Hi I'm Abraham

I love shooting, fishing, and the outdoors. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 20 years old and I am currently serving a mission Nevada Las Vegas West Mission. I come from Florida and I love the gospel with all my heart. I was born and raised a Mormon. I love to be with my friends and family. I love to shoot and fish the most. I hope to be a psychiatrist one day as well as a responsible father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon, but as with converts to the church there comes a time in our lives where we have to choose for ourselves what path to follow. In my life I chose to do as the Book of Mormon says. I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed to know of its truth. Through life I have known that as I have kept the commandments, I am happier and I can feel God's love for me. As a result I have come to know in my heart as well as my mind that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Gods church upon the face of the Land. It has answered all the questions I have ever had about life as well as my worth as a child of God. It brings me happiness.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission. I serve people daily and preach the gospel. I answer questions that people have about the Mormons and I provide service to them. It is my responsibility to teach people what we believe and to help them to find the answers to the questions they have and to grow closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a knowledge of something of which we have exercised faith. When Mormon's say they have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, tithing, or of prayer it is knowledge of that certain principle or idea. When we start out, we have faith in something, for instance, prayer. In order to gain or to have a testimony you must work for it. I started out having faith that Heavenly Father would answer my prayers. As I continued to pray and to ask for guidance and help, Heavenly Father answered my prayers. In turn this faith that I had became a sure knowledge that Heavenly Father answers prayers. That prayer is a tool of communication that Heavenly Father has given us to help guide us and to aide us in this life. This is what we call a testimony. I know that Heavenly Father answers my prayers and that he will answer prayers of those that honestly seek his guidance. That is what Mormon's define as a "testimony". Show more Show less
